Discuss: how long played with, why, future.

Iraq
Played with pretty much constantly since 2000 - always my quick-match team. I favour the Soviets as I favour tanks.

Iraq seem the best option against Allies given the power of the desolator. Having said this, I do not think I am very adept with the unit at all. I don't use it often enough, or competently enough when I do.

I think I may play as Allies next month, just for a change. I play with them in friendlies quite often, and don't do too badly.

Rob's finally realising the power of Allies (after repeated demonstrations Wink). I used to do it pretty evenly as America or Iraq but recently I've been a Korea man & am currently concentrating on getting as good as I can with them.

I favour Allies but am better with the Soviets. That's because the Soviets are much easier to control. Where I struggle to maintain 600p with Allies, I begin to struggle with Soviets around 800p.

I've been going well as Allies recently, that's to say I was until a somewhat drunken/coffee-less session where I lost 5 in a row.

Mostly over the last 5 or so years I've been playing sovs, except for my first few months, and one month where I went crazy with allies and got >1100pts with them.

Funnily enough I enjoy allies vs allies much more than I do sovs vs allies, it just seems to me to be the most enjoyable matchup there is. I'm still much better with sovs though, which is understandable seeing as they're overpowered.

Probably a good idea playing USA more than Russia. In Russia v. Allies the allied player get mirages and you're finished.

It's not so much that, but rather the fact the without desolators, the soviets have no real response to massed mirages unless you can thouroughly outbuild him and flank him, or pull of a kirov or dreadnought sort've thing.

i have never had that problem dont know why maybe its the yuris i use my problem is the prisms still dont get how they have the power and range of artillery and the speed and reload rate of a tank.I always seem to be attacked by 30 of them and have to try and attack them before they get near my base

A few dogs or flak tracks will quickly stop a paradrop.
