interesting answers indeed. You left outta few questions. for those who don't know, here are the rest of the questions

5. Will red alert 3 feature upgrades? -mikekunt32

Unit upgrades donít play as prominent a role in Red Alert 3 as they did in Command & Conquer 3. Players will need to purchase upgrades for certain structures in order to progress through the tech tree, and all three factions can temporarily enhance the behavior of some of their units through certain Player Powers, but traditional upgrades arenít as prevalent as in some of our previous games.

6. Where is the Tesla Tank? -Community

Contrary to some reports, the Tesla Tank is definitely in the game, and itís one of our coolest looking units. It should be noted that itís specifically a campaign-only unit, so players wonít be able to build it in skirmish or multiplayer matches. The Tesla Tankís place in the tech tree is essentially taken up by the Hammer Tank. That, coupled with the fact that the Stingray is an amphibious unit, made the Tesla Tank largely redundant. That said, weíre including the model in the game, so modders can do as they please with it when Red Alert 3 releases later this year.

3. Is there weather in the game? ex. rain and snow? -redalertfan

Some of the missions in Red Alert 3 have varying weather conditions, like rain and snow, yes. But if youíre asking if the Allies have a Weather Control Device anymore, then the answer is no.

sorry but the more i hear the more i fear ra3 is going to be terrible and nothing like ra2.Also isnt the allies getting screwed? no Gap tech,no prism tech and no weather control is there anything the allies have left to fight with?.Another why dont they just make a hyprid between the tesla tank and the Stingray then just having it in the campaign. As i see it no nukes,no pillboxes,no gap Generators and and no ore fields why are they even calling it command and conquer as they have taken out every symbol of cnc

Like I've said before, Red Alert 3 is not a Red Alert game, it is a Red Alert/Generals/TW hybrid. There was no loyalty to what made RA1/2 great by the designers because none of them were there when the game was designed. I guess it's probably good we weren't invited to the latest "community" summit, as I probably would have been kicked out for being a 'fanboy.' God I hate the official boards.

thats most likely true erik as you would have asked them some proper questions that they would have struggled to answer i bet they just invited random Ea fanboys that were just happy they were there and didnt realise they were surposed to be representing the communtiy and trying to get as much info from EA as possible

I propose a mass effort to hit the official boards to try and sway opinions. Not flame/spam, but you get the idea.

I think it's a good idea as I know there are many who are of the same opinion, however, there are many who are mindless EA drones that will do and say whatever EA wants them to do, so maybe it should be some sort of recruitment drive to get like-minded individuals over to the site, as there are enough people with their lips attached to EA's rear-end for them to change their mind.

Yes, I've seen the lengths people go to defend every action EA takes in development.

Sorry for the double post, but if anyone's interested, I'm debating the merits of a more RA2 influence on RA3 in the thread "A simple request, but one I feel is important" or something like that on the official RA3 boards.

Bigguy, I chimed in to get it back to the main page....tough crowd though. I did send a PM to one individual who seemed receptive to our point of view.
