General Overview
Dune Patrol is one of the smallest, plainest, and simplest maps in YR, however the lack of scenery doesn't mean there aren't good battles. Also there is a tiny emphasis on the tiny lake in the middle of the map.

Tech Buildings
There are no tech buildings on Dune Patrol.

Team Selection
Because of the lack of physical features on the map, such as cliffs and water, it negates some of Yuri's strengths - so the other two sides might have a little more advantage. However, any advantage is hardly noticeable.

Allies: I would suggest using America on this map there are several buildings to garrison near the center of the map and near to secure gem and ore access in the middle. Korea are also useful because you can run lots of sorties in a small amount of time. France can be effective because of the smallness of the map. Germany is really not that effective against any team. Britain is only effective against yuri, america, and Iraq, but they are limited at that.

Soviets: Iraq is the best overall and the best choice because if of its effectiveness against infantry. Russia is okay I guess, but not that effective, Cuba and Libya are very risky against a yuri opponent, but good at taking out trouble spots.

Economy
There are three ore patches near each starting point one above, below and next to, if you get 4-5 miners going you can really rake in the money.

Walkthrough

Yuri: Start with the usual bio-reactor, barracks, and slave miner. After your barracks is up build a brutes, and a couple of initiates for your bio reactor. First send a brute to scout the map and the other base. After your first slave miner is up build a war factory and after that is up build another slave miner and another one from your war factory. After you have three to four slave miners going, build another war factory and start churning out lashers, gattlings, and magnetrons and chaos drones. After you get your battle lab up build a few masterminds and floating discs. Once you have a sizable force you are ready to attack the enemy start by attacking any miners or stray units he has on the map then attack his base, be sure to keep your chaos drones back until the battle starts then zip them in and cause chaos. This should work, but if they are still alive build a fleet of floating discs and wipe them out.

Allies: Start by building power plant, barracks, and refinery. After building a barracks build a few dogs and send them to uncover the enemy base. If you are playing an allied player you might want to build one patriot missile system in case of a rocketeer rush, otherwise don't bother. Then build a war factory, one or two miners and then an AFC and then another refinery, sell the second refinery. After your second refinery build a battle lab and take advantage of high tech units and structures. If you are playing a yuri play be sure to build a robot control center and several additional power plants to make sure you have plenty of power. Start churning out tanks and send a few mirages towards the enemy ore field and take out the enemy economy. Then take out any assets your opponent has miners or stray units, and after you tie up all the loose ends go for your opponents throat and destroy his army and base. If playing a yuri opponent use robot tanks up front to defend against psychic and chaos drones.

Soviets: Start by building tesla reactor, barracks, and refinery. After building a barracks build a few dogs and send them scouting. Then build a war factory, build a terror drone and use it to fend off any early attacks or enemy tanks, and then another refinery, sell the second refinery. After the war factory build two miners and three tanks and a couple of terror drones. If you are playing an allied player you might want to build one flack cannon in case of a rocketeer rush, otherwise don't bother. The terror drone is very effective in a yuri battle, just keep them away from gattling tanks. You should have a fairly decent economy at this point, build a radar and build another refinery near the center so you can take advantage of it. Start churning out tanks, and siege copters. Then take out any assets your opponent has units or miners, and after you eliminate any units roaming around the map, send you army and destroy his army and his base.
