This was my second game on Snow Valley in a matter of minutes. After a quick win in the last game, I was hoping for more of the same.

Scouting didn't go brilliantly - I went for 3 dogs (two to scout, one for antiscout at my entrance). I managed to uncover most of the shroud up to both entrances of his base (a dog and a pillbox accounting for mine). He made no effort to scout at all.

I went for two miners straight from my war - somewhat risky considering I didn't have a clue what my opponent was doing. I kept on building refineries, eventually stretching down onto the valley over the cliff with a barracks (I was bottom right, and placed my war factory by the edge to enable me to do this). I kept building more refineries, as well as a radar - then a second war factory.

My opponent tried various paradrops, but they were ill fated - my dogs and desolators sending them packing. Once ore was becoming somewhat short in the valley, I moved my MCV across to the bottom left - building a refinery there for the gems and a third war factory, or was it fourth? I was losing account at this point - clearly having a lot more money coming in than my opponent.

When I moved my MCV to the bottom left, my opponent happened to make a perfect paradrop next to it (despite not having seen him scout). I asked for screenshots, no response. Hence I have blackmarked him - suspected map-hacking, even though he wasn't terribly good. The paradrop was crushed.

I then moved my MCV into the centre of the map, building another refinery and a few other bits and pieces. I then built a kirov, at which point he obviously thought it was do or die time. He came out of his base with quite a number of prism tanks, as well as mirage tanks. I managed to dent them somewhat with two desolators in a flak driven at them. My rhinos then held up his attack, killing off the prisms before going for his mirage and grizzly tanks.

I expanded well in this game - stretching into the valley for the first time without having to move my MCV; quite handy near the start when you're struggling for build time. I did have to shoot a bit of ore with my tanks in order to place a refinery.
